2011 Mission Day Prayer

Dear father in heaven,
We stand before you on a very special day for our organization. 50 years ago you called one man to a path of service. Just as you called so many leaders in the past like the fathers of the old testament, like the apostles, like Martin Luther, and many others. We know that You work through individuals Father.
And now, 50 years later, you have called each of us in a very special way to use our unique gifts and talents in order to serve many.
Father, we confess that sometimes it is hard to focus on our calling. Sometimes our jobs feel frustrating, overwhelming, unappreciated.
Remind us every day that we are called to be good stewards of our talents.
Remind us every day that no matter what our individual jobs are, we are part of a collective body that is touching thousands of lives every single day.
Let today be a new day for us. Let it be a new day of energy and commitment to serving your people.
Remind us that we are blessed as individuals, as Americans, as NCR employees in ways that many can only dream of.
Allow us to be humbled by our blessings, teach us that we are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others.
